About Alex Maples

I’m Alex Maples, Founder of Adaptive Health.

Losing 150 pounds taught me a great deal. Maintaining that transformation for more than a decade and building a sustainable way of life taught me even more.

That experience showed me how difficult meaningful change can be and how valuable the right guidance can become. I understand the setbacks and frustrations because I have lived them myself.

If you are ready to radically change your health, I want to walk alongside you, help you avoid unnecessary mistakes, and build an approach that works for your life.

A comprehensive six-month engagement

Adaptive Health begins with a six-month private advisory designed to create meaningful change and establish a sustainable foundation for long-term health.

Understand the whole picture

The engagement begins with a comprehensive intake, a two-week observation period, and an assessment of your health history, goals, routines, environment, physical capacity, and current data. This gives us a clear picture of how your life actually works, not merely what it looks like on paper.

Build a personalized strategy

We translate what we learn into a practical strategy built around your priorities, preferences, responsibilities, and constraints. Depending on your needs, this may include general nutrition education, food-related habits, movement, strength and cardiovascular capacity, sleep, recovery, stress, health data, and your home or work environment.

Put the strategy into practice

Meaningful change rarely comes from receiving a perfect plan. It comes from applying a thoughtful strategy to real life, learning what works, and refining it over time.

Throughout the engagement, you receive:

  • Weekly private advisory calls

  • Ongoing messaging access

  • Review of relevant health, activity, and lifestyle data

  • Nutrition education and support with food choices and habits

  • Personalized movement and physical-capacity planning

  • Exercise programming or help coordinating with a qualified trainer

  • Research support and help organizing questions for qualified healthcare professionals

  • Coordination with physicians and other qualified professionals when appropriate

Measure meaningful progress

The engagement includes selected health-tracking equipment, baseline and follow-up at-home testing, physical-capacity assessments, and periodic reviews of progress. The goal is not simply to collect more information. It is to use the right information to make better decisions and have more productive conversations with qualified healthcare professionals.

By the end of six months, you should have a clearer understanding of your health, a stronger and more capable body, and a way of living that can continue adapting with you.
